Description
I'm going to try something different with WPs from now on. Rather than make pics for a specific screen resolution, I'm going to do them in 16:9 ratio rather than 4:3. I'm going to size them a bit larger too. Let me know if it works on your display. It works well on mine but I figure it should work decently on any widescreen monitor since 16:9 is approximately the aspect ratio that widescreen movies and tv shows use.
After discussing the pic with my brother I realized that, like most of my work, you never get to see any of the meticulous detail in the face in normal view so I put a partially opaque enlargement to the side. I think is looks really good on this one. Now everybody can get a better look at my Inquisitor for Pathfinder Society d&d 3.75.
*Edit* I finally realized what was bothering me about the original image. The head was too small above the hairline. I redrew the hair several times before getting a shape I was happy with. I had to entirely repaint the hair so I took the opportunity to touch up the face a bit also.

I love how something as simple as a hand covering the eye can totally change the look and feel of your work. It gives the image more weight and more power, because it makes her more human.
