Genasi Wallpaperby ~mindflenzing

Customization / Wallpaper / Fantasy

Partially because I wanted to show their relative sizes, partially to wrap up the series with a collage, partially to make certain people happy, and partially to milk these pics for all the attention I can get I have done a wallpaper with all four of the Elemental Planestouched (they are a race in D&D). Looking at them all together I am pretty pleased with the diversity and contrasts in their designs.

thinking about starting up a d&d campaign or some such thing in my art class... was deciding between tiefling and air genasi... its my first time trying anything like d&d

D&D can be a lot of fun with a good group. I've played every edition (with the exception of Pathfinder) and run every edition after 2nd (again excepting Pathfinder). 4th Ed is great for being able to play cool races without being heavily penalized or having powers that break the story.

I like to pick races/classes that fit the theme I'm going for with a character. I have a Tiefling Paladin Warlock Hybrid named Dante who is all about putting people into no-win situations for his own amusement. His paladin powers make you take damage for not attacking him and his warlock ones make you take damage for attacking him. My Windsoul Genasi Monk, Bora Chiara, is all about flight, range, and sweeping attacks so her powers all let her fly, hit multiple enemies, or use her chakram to hit distant enemies. It often means sacrificing numerically better powers for thematic ones but a limited pallet of powers make for a more iconic hero.

hehe... i was thinking about just going for tiefling rogue, so i could have like a billion knives on my character at all times for no reason, can't wait to get started playing, from what you described it looks like it will be a lot of fun

I've always loved playing rogues and rangers because I love skill monkeys. One great thing with Tieflings is playing up the tail. I believe there is a feat you can take that lets you use it like another hand, that makes it ever better.
