Fire Genasi Wallpaper by mindflenzing Fire Genasi Wallpaper by mindflenzing
*Note: Genasi are a race in Dungeons and Dragons.*

I'm much happier with this design than the heavily armored versions I was working with before. Fire should strike fast and hard and thus the armor I had planned was not feasible. I did pull off the glowing accents reasonably well, though. I moved from armored trooper to Bruce Lee and worked that back to the whole fire thing. I decided to contrast an elaborately clothed lower body with a unclothed and tattooed upper body which increases the character's overall mass without diminishing the idea that he is fast. I was thinking yellow as an additional color but they light grey provided better contrast while allowing the red to be the most striking color in the image.

He does glow quite a bit (a touch I am rather proud of).

Nicely done dude, the glow effects are wicked cool. The only thing I'm not too sanguine about is the way the pants.

The dull black and width were for contrast (also to increase overall size of the character). Thin pants would have made him a smaller less dynamic figure. Besides, I already had a slender figured character in the set and didn't want to do another.

The color is OK, what I have a problem with is how there seems to be no distinction between the pants and the boots. It's a bold design, but I would have had the boots open up at the top and the pants tuck in more.

I deliberately downplayed the shape of the pants and boots so they would not detract from the glowing accents. My older designs were more like what you are talking about but I'm sacrificing a number of items of realism for design dynamism.

I have enjoyed this series but cannot decide which is my favourite of the 4. To save me time and a possible headache from overthinking, please submit a deviation containing all 4 for my Faving pleasure.

This is not a request. Your family is being held hostage. Please comply or they will suffer a most unfortunate accident.

Actually, I had been thinking about doing a WP with all four of them and now that I've gotten some cleaning done (about 5 trash bags worth of back cataloged junk), I think I will do it.

I'll have it up tonight. Actually, one of the main reasons I wanted to do it was that I wanted to show them in proportional height (since they earth guy really had to be scrunched in to fit).
