*Note: Genasi are a race in Dungeons and Dragons*

Going with the Anduris theme, here is another fantasy character. This one is an air elemental (or at least part air elemental). I had done some pure elementals earlier and wanted to take elements of that for a character. I decided to depict air as an angular swirl as you can see from her hair, tattoo, and clothing I've used it as a theme thought. I did a bit of experimenting with the shading on her pants and the metal weave in her outfit, though it's hard to see in the metal without the close-up.

I wanted a generally middle-eastern feel for her costume, the genie look essentially, though I did throw in a few oriental touches as well. I had debated a darker color scheme and airy sleeves but in the end I opted for greater contrast in both cases. I decided to try to give her BG an airy feel compared to the more enclosed and tense feel of the other WPs I've done. There ends up being less contrast between figure and BG but I couldn't really make it lighter without making it boring and if I made it darker it didn't feel enough like air. In the end it's a bit more foggy than anything else in feel.

*EDIT* I just noticed that I made my most common error, I put the eyes up too high on the face so I went and fixed it. I never notice that when I draw or ink but after I'm finished and admiring it I see those kinds of glaring flaws. Man, I'm glad I don't work with traditional media. It would have driven me insane.

*EDIT2* To fit the theme I added a weapon to her, in this case a Chakram, and I tweaked the color like I did with the other pic.

That one is definitely my favorite of the series. I liked it so much I built my Windsoul Genasi Monk after that pic.
